'Left without wearing burqa': UP man kills wife and 2 daughters, buries them at home

SHAMLI: A man in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested after allegedly killing his wife and two young daughters and burying their bodies inside his house, police said on Wednesday.The incident took place on 10 December in Ghari Daulat village, under the Kandhla police station area, but came to light only on Tuesday evening.

Authorities identified the accused as Mohd Farukh. Police said he shot his wife while she was preparing tea at home.
Their 12-year-old daughter was also shot when she tried to intervene, while the five-year-old was reportedly strangled.Farukh is said to have buried the bodies in a pit inside the house and lived normally for several days before the crime was discovered. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to the killings.He reportedly became angry when his wife went out without wearing a hijab. Following the discovery, members of the victim’s family staged a protest and attempted to confront the accused, prompting police intervention. Security has been tightened in the village, and additional personnel have been deployed.
